For you, Summer vacation means beaches, sun and relaxation. If this year you are planning to spend a holiday in north Sardinia, there is a very peculiar (and unexpected) event that will make your vacation even more special: it’s the 2016 edition of the Summer Carnival in Porto Torres.
The Summer Carnival
August 6 and 13 will be the two most important days of the event. When floats and traditional costumes will parade along the promenade of Porto Torres and arrive in the city centre. Two days dedicated only to colours, masks and fun. In addition to this, Porto Torres Summer Carnival will be enriched by other side events.

- Porto Torres is one of the most beautiful cities along the northern coast of Sardinia. Beetween a parade and a float, you could see the city, discovering places such the Roman bridge, Turris Libonis, Basilica of San Gavino, Terme Maetzke and Terme Pallottino, palazzo di Re Barbaro, the famous Domus dei Mosaici.
- Summer is also the season of beaches. Among the most beautiful in Porto Torres there are Balai, Scogliolungo, Acque Dolci, Renaredda, Farrizza. La Pelosa and la Pelosetta are two famous beaches in Stintino, easy to reach from Porto Torres.
