There are many kinds of relax. Most of the people “satisfy” themselves by staying laid on the most beautiful beaches. You choose Sardinia also for another reason: its spas. Where you want to spend your holidays to restore body and soul.
Don’t you know where to go? If so, these four suggestions are perfect for you.
- Terme di Sardara (near Santa Maria Acquas, in the province of Medio Campidano). The site was yet inhabited during the Nuraghic period. The water of the source flows with a temperature between 58° and 60° C.
- Complesso termale di Fordongianus (in the province of Oristano, on Valle del Tiroso). This spa hails from the I-III century a.C. and it was commissioned by Trajan. Its waters are sulphurous and much appreciated for the cure of skin and bone diseases and for the respiratory apparatus.
- Terme di Benetutti (between Benetutti and Bultei, near Sassari). They are on the rests of ancient Roman spas. The complex is composed by eight sources from which flows a thermo-mineral water of 34°-43° C. Thanks to its particular composition, this water is recommended for the cure of skin diseases, rheumatisms, hearth problems.
- Terme di Casteldoria (even near Sassari, between the sea and Coghinas flume). The complex is immersed in an uncontaminated naturalistic place, where there’s also the “Castello di Doria”. It’s one of the most beautiful spas in Sardinia: its waters have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties.
You can decide to spend your holidays in one of these places. Or you can reach the spas just to spend a relaxing day before coming back to the beaches. In both cases, you just have one thing to do: book your ferry trip.
