Sardinia is considered an oasis of beaches of fine white sand and clear waters. Its beauties enjoy international fame, especially in the summer months when the island of Sardinia is stormed by tourists from all over the world for its enchanting places.
The island is also characterized by wild beaches very isolated, where the spectacle of untouched nature reigns supreme.
What we will talk about in this article:
Among the main wild beaches of Sardinia island we find:
Located in the municipality of San Teodoro, more precisely in the locality Coda Capo Cavallo, Cala Suaraccia is also known as the beach of butterflies, because of the nearby tourist complex.
The alternation of sandy and rocky stretches allows this enchanting beach to be sheltered from the wind and is considered the ideal destination for families, thanks to the shallow waters perfect for children and the many services available.
Cala Suaraccia is surrounded by dense vegetation formed by Mediterranean maquis that guarantees areas of shade much appreciated in the hottest summer days.
To reach the beach, from San Teodoro it is advisable to take the East Sardinian highway 125 towards Olbia, turn right at the junction for Capo Coda Cavallo.
After 6 km it is necessary to pass both the residential complex Capo Coda cavallo and the village Cala Paradiso. After a curve begins the residential complex Le Farfalle. Continuing for about 300 meters on the left you will find the entrance to the parking lot of Cala Suaraccia.
The town of Santa Maria Teresa di Gallura is home to Cala Spinosa, an enchanting beach that is not easy to access and therefore devoid of services, but considered a unique corner of tranquility and well-being.
A beach not to be missed, characterized by an enchanting rocky cove, with granite rocks and a wonderful beach with sand to big grains, stones and pebbles.
The beautiful crystalline sea has a polychrome that varies between the shades of emerald green and blue. Cala Spinosa, despite its beauty is a beach not too frequented even during the summer season.
To get to Cala Spinosa, from Santa Teresa di Gallura, take the provincial road 90 towards Capo Testa. Just before arriving at the lighthouse, near the bend is located access to the short path that leads to the beach.
A little more frequented than the previous beaches, Li Cossi should be visited for the unique scenery in which it is located.
The beach is located about 15 minutes from the resort Costa Paradiso, and is surrounded by pink granite rocks, turquoise sea and a small lake.
Li Cossi beach is characterized by sand of a light beige, warm and compact, rather fine, washed by a wonderful crystalline sea with a shallow and sandy seabed.
Around the beach you can admire the lush Mediterranean vegetation that gives breathtaking views to its visitors. Also here you can rent umbrellas, sunbeds and enjoy moments of relaxation in the different bars and restaurants near the coast.
Li Cossi can be reached on foot walking for about ten minutes following a path that starts from the parking area of Costa Paradiso. Along the provincial road 90, near kilometer 32, you will find the intersection, well signposted, that leads to Costa Paradiso.
In the locality of Baunei, Cala Sisine is probably the least known beach of the Gulf of Oresei. Halfway between the famous Cala Luna and the Grotta del Fico, it is characterized by dense vegetation and sand composed of small limestone grains.
It is one of the many pearls of Sardinia, a beach of about 200 meters, characterized by a beach of small smooth pebbles of light color between white and pale pink. The waters are extremely clear and crystalline with a medium low seabed.
The beach is surrounded by high granite mountains that descend steeply to the sea, surmounted by a flourishing Mediterranean maquis.
It is possible to reach the beach following a trekking route of about half an hour, starting from the town of Planu ‘e Murta, about 2 km from the beach. Alternatively, it can be reached easily by boat from the ports of Cala Gonone and Santa Maria Navarrese.
