We have already given you ideas to visit south-west Sardinia. Now, the time has come to visit the second part of the southern coast, that is, south-east Sardinia. And even in this case we can suggest a five-step itinerary that will allow you to see the most beautiful places.
- Cagliari. The starting point is, once again, the Sardinian capital. You probably already know the seven tourist routes to visit Cagliari and you have chosen at least one during your trip in the south-west part. To visit the south-east, you can choose another one, the one you prefer: the Sardinian capital will never disappoint you, we can guarantee it.
- Monti Nieddu. They are located just at east of Cagliari. And they represent a place where you can enjoy all the incomparable spectacle offered by unspoiled nature: with its 2,500 hectares, it is one of the largest forest areas in Europe. This area is particularly suitable for trekking and hiking enthusiasts. If you are not an expert, we advise you to rely on a guide.
- Geremeas. We cannot speak of southeast Sardinia without mentioning this location. Renowned throughout Italy for a very specific reason: its beautiful coastline. The beaches of Geremeas, in fact, are authentic, small paradises where you can give yourself a day dedicated to total relaxation. Paradises like Mari Pintau, Kala ‘e Moru and Marongiu, places that would not even need presentations.
- Capo Carbonara – Villasimius. You are in the south-eastern corner of Sardinia. This part of the island is recommended especially for diving enthusiasts: even if you are a beginner (there are a lot of dive centers), granite pinnacles, sea daisies and gorgonians draw fabulous backdrops.
- Costa Rei. Thus we arrive at the last stop on the itinerary. To see in Costa Rei there is so much: the three squares, the rock of Peppino, Castiadas and the beach of Porto Pirastu are just some of the places not to be missed.
So, by combining the two itineraries that we have recommended (south-west Sardinia and south-east Sardinia), you can organize a perfect ten-day vacation in southern Sardinia and discover a place that will leave you, simply, open-mouthed.
