You’re planning to spend a 7-days holiday in Sardinia. Because you like to travel. And you want to see the most beautiful places that this island offers its visitors. Now you need only a one week itinerary to plan the journey.
An itinerary such as this one along the north coast of the island. Chosen because it combines nature and culture.
Day #1: Porto Torres
The journey begins in one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Sardinia. And in Porto Torres, the things to see are really several: basilica di San Gavino, Basilica di San Gavino a mare, Palazzo di Re Barbaro, Terme Maetzke and Terme Pallottino, the Roman bridge, the beaches (such as Balai, Scogliolungo, Acque Dolci), the Turris Libisonis (the ancient Roman city).
Day #2: the nuraghi
In this area, there is one of the largest concentrations of nuraghi in Sardinia, remains of an ancient population still surrounded by an aura of mystery. As demonstrated by these four nuraghi near Porto Torres: Nieddu, Biunisi, Monte Elva, Margone.
Day #3: Asinara Island
Every day, especially in summer, from Porto Torres ferries bring vacationers to Asinara Island. Where you will spend the third day trekking, discovering the beautiful beaches, diving in the fabulous sea and tasting the local culinary specialties.
Day #4: Sassari
Back from Asinara Island, it is time to visit one of the most important cities of northern Sardinia. In Sassari, the things to see are several and one day may not be enough: among the places to visit, there are Duomo, Piazza Castello and Parco di Monserrato.
Day #5: Santa Teresa di Gallura
It takes about an hour and a half by car to get from Porto Torres to Santa Teresa di Gallura. An hour and a half and you will see places such as the old town centre, the small island of Capo Testa, the Longonsardo tower, the beaches (Conca verde, Rena Bianca and Rena maiore are the most famous).
If you are not too tired, remember one thing: Santa Teresa di Gallura is one of the places where to live the Sardinian nightlife.
Day #6: La Maddalena Island
It takes just thirty minutes by car to get from Santa Teresa di Gallura to Palau. From Palau, ferries will take you to La Maddalena Island. Once there, you will spend the fifth day of your vacation admiring one of the most beautiful islands of Sardinia.
Day #7: Olbia
The last day of this itinerary to visit Sardinia in seven days. In Olbia, the main things to see are: nuraghi, the old town centre, the Archaeological museum, the Roman aqueduct, Pedres castle, beaches such as Pittulongu, Porto Istana, Marinella, Bados, Sa Rena Bianca.
