When Valentine’s Day is forthcoming, love is in the air. The idea to spend a pleasant and romantic vacation comes to your mind. But you need the perfect destination from this kind of holiday. The destination is Sardinia: these are the 5 most romantic places on the island.
1. Bastione di Saint Remy
It is a symbol of the city of Cagliari. It is an ancient bastion turned into a monumental staircase. From here, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the city, from Sella del Diavolo (a rocky promontory) to Poetto beach. View, of course, to see at sunset.
2. Spiaggia Rosa
Budelli is a small island of La Maddalena Archipelago. The Spiaggia Rosa (“the pink beach”) is famous for two reasons: the unique pink sand and the wonderful sea. The beach, one of the most beautiful of Sardinia, can be seen only during a guided tour.
Welcome to one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Castelsardo is an ancient medieval town: at night, its small streets and narrow squares are illuminated by a soft light.
4. Lighthouse of Capo Spartivento
The lighthouse is one of the romantic places par excellence. And there is a lighthouse in this itinerary: it’s the lighthouse of Capo Spartivento, near the village of Chia, on the south coast of Sardinia. To visit for its view and for the beach of Cala Cipolla.
5. The ruins of Nora
The last of the most romantic places of Sardinia is even the most peculiar. Nora is an ancient submerged citiy near Pula. On the coast there are temples, mosaics, thermal baths and a Roman amphitheater.
