Su Nuraxi is one of the most beautiful nuragic complex of the Island. If you are spending your holidays in Sardinia during autumn and you are not far from Cagliari, on October 30th (Sunday), do not miss a special train: it is the nuraghi’s train, organised by the association Sardegnavapore.
- The event. Departure from Cagliari by train and arrival to San Gavino. Once in San Gavino, a bus will take you to Barumini, a small village in the historical sub-region of Marmilla.
- Nuraghi. In Barumini area there is Su Nuraxi, one of the biggest nuraghe in Sardinia. Followed by an expert guide, you will discover the history, the charme and the secrets of this place. Listed among UNESCO’s world heritage sites, today the complex is made by a majestic nuraghe surrounded by a vast nuragic village.
- Departure and way back. The departure from Cagliari train station is scheduled at 8:30 a.m., the arrival at Barumini at 10:15 a.m. The visit of the nuraghe will continue to 4:00 p.m. At 5:20 p.m. it is scheduled the return trip from San Gavino and the arrival to Cagliari is scheduled at 6.40 p.m.
