New Year’s Eve 2016 Sardinia: 3 unmissable concerts in the square

In Sardinia, the New Year’ Eve is a very important moment of the year. Especially if we’re talking about concerts, so many people there to greet the arrival of the new year all together, and good music. Precisely, the characteristics of these three appointments.
1. The Cap d’Any of Alghero
It is one of the most awaited event in Sardinia. The guest stars of the 2016 edition will be Elio e le Storie Tese, who will begin to perform 15 minutes after midnight. They will be the main attraction: the Cap d’Any begins at 22:30 with a cabaret and, at midnight, you will welcome New Year with the traditional fireworks show.
The location, as always, will be the port.
2. New Year’s Eve 2016 in Olbia
Between Cap d’Any and New Year’s Eve in Olbia there is a kind of competition: both events point to have the most special guests. This year, on the Brin pier of Olbia will perform Subsonica, alternative rock/electronic rock Italian music band.
And New Year’s Eve 2016 in Olbia will be much more: lights, stalls, performances by street artists and, of course, the fireworks show near the sea.
3. New Year’s Eve 2016 in Cagliari
Also for the 2016 edition, Cagliari chooses the formula of Capodanno diffuso (literally, “diffused New Year’s Eve”), with several concerts that will take place in the most beautiful squares of Sardinian capital city:
- piazza San Domenico: Mambo Django (live) and Daniele Diaz (dj set)
- piazza Savoia: Mudras Quartet (live) and Zimbra (dj set)
- bastione Santa Croce: Beat Street (live) and Federico Fenu (dj set)
- piazza Yenne: Statuto (live) and The Skatalites (live)
