The beautiful Roman theatre of Nora will be the location. Poets, actors and musicians will enrich the evenings with words, gestures, and notes. Emotions. From July 15th to 31st, the new edition of one of the most important cultural events of Sardinia will take place: it’s La notte dei poeti (literally, “The Night of the Poets”).
In a city that seems to rise from a distant past, famous names of theatre, cinema, music, literature and poetry will perform. Performances that will make relive stories and feelings among columns, temples, houses and thermal baths.
(The official program will be revealed soon.)
Nora is known with a very special “nickname”: the underwater city of Sardinia. It is a site of inestimable historical-archaeological value: the city dates back to the Phoenician-Punic period but, according to some scholars, the origins would be even older.
Nora is located in the territory of the municipality of Pula. To get there from Cagliari (one of the main ports for ferries to Sardinia), just take the state highway 195 towards south and follow the road signs to Pula-Nora. The journey by car takes less than 45 minutes.
