Cagliari, Italy: sea and taste of Poetto wine festival

It’s easy to get to Cagliari, in Italy. And it is even easier to reach the wonderful Golfo degli Angeli (“Gulf of Angels”). Where the scents of the sea will meet the flavours of the wine. This is the essence of Poetto wine festival, on July 8th and 9th.

 

The festival

A perfect mix of fine wines, a lovely beach, good music and the beautiful sea of Sardinian capital city: on the occasion of Poetto wine festival, Golfo degli Angeli will welcome the best local, Italian and European wine producers. They will promote their products, their flavours and, above all, their passion for wine.

 

The location

Poetto is the beach preferred by Cagliari people. A long sandy beach from the promontory of Sella del Diavolo to Quartu Sant’Elena. By day, the beach is frequented by families. By night, is frequented by young people. In particular, Poetto wine festival will take place in Marina piccola, a small marina near Sella del Diavolo promontory.

On both days, Poetto wine festival will open its doors at 7pm. What to do until evening? Well, you can visit Cagliari in two days and see the most beautiful places in the Sardinian capital city.

  • In the first day, you will see the most important monuments of the city: bastione di Saint Remy, torre dell’Elefante, Ghetto degli Ebrei, Cittadella dei musei, torre di San Pancrazio, quartiere Castello.
  • In the second day, you will discover some of the most beautiful beaches in Cagliari, such as Quartu Sant’Elena.
