It’s near Cagliari. A real, little paradise made of white sand beaches and uncontaminated nature. An ideal place for relax and water sports. We’re talking about Costa Rei, in Sardinia. These are the places to see during a holiday.
Porto Pirastu – It’s a sand and gravel beach. Surrounded by rocks, behind the beach there is a little pine forest. Several services are available. This beach is good for windsurfing, diving, snorkeling.
Le tre piazze – The three squares are piazza Rei Marina, piazza Italia and piazza Sardegna. Especially during summer, they are always well frequented. Here there are pub and restaurants.
Lo scoglio di Peppino – It marks the border between Muravera and Castiadas. Made by two rocks, it’s one of the most visited attraction of Costa Rei.
Castiadas – Near Costa Rei, the presence of menhir, tombe dei giganti (Nuragic funeral monuments) and domus de janas (pre-Nuragic tombs) demonstrates that this is an ancient town, ideal for excursions.
Costa Rei Beach – It’s often considered one of the South Sardinia most beautiful beaches. It’s a long white sand stripe, immaculate, and the color of the sea is blue, intense.
La “casa della contessa” – Its nickname means “house of the countess”. Even if it’s the most ancient building of Costa Rei, today it is completely abandoned. From this house is possible to have a wonderful view of Costa Rei coast. About this place there are several legends.
Cala Sinzias – The last thing to see in Costa Rei is another beach. Cala Sinzias is protected by a promontory and an eucalyptus forest. It’s a white sand beach and the sea is the most uncontaminated of the whole Sardinia.
