You have planned to spend a holiday in Sardinia between the end of autumn and the beginning of winter (after all, this island is beautiful throughout the year). In these two periods, if your vacation is in Cagliari, you can not miss the suggestive and enveloping atmosphere of the three Christmas markets that will be set up in the Sardinian capital.
In the center
The first one could almost be considered as the “historic” Christmas market of the city of Cagliari. It will be set up in two different areas, that is in the pedestrian section of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and in Piazza Del Carmine. These two will be open from 1 December 2017 to 6 January 2018, from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm. Here you will find exactly the products you would expect from a Christmas market: sweets, culinary specialties, toys, flowers. There are all the elements to spend one, or more than a pleasant day.
It is also in the center, easily reachable. In particular, Garibaldi Square is not far from Marina district, one of the historic districts of Cagliari which, given the occasion, we strongly recommend to visit: among the most beautiful places there are the church of S. Francesco of Paola, the archaeological area Santa Eulalia and the Santa Eulalia Treasure Museum.
Turning to the theme, the Garibaldi square market will be entirely dedicated to local artisan products and artwork: here you can find original souvenirs as you like it. Hours and opening days should be the same of the markets in the center.
It will be set up at the Music Park. The ingredients of the Christmas Village will be so much street food, local craftsmanship and activities specially designed for the the youngest. And there will also be Santa Claus accompanied by his inseparable elven helpers.
The Christmas Village will be open from 7am to 10th December, from 10am to 10pm.
