Nature and history for Autunno in Barbagia in Lula

Caverns, gulches and forests are just some of the elements that will characterize the stage in Luna of Autunno in Barbagia.

 

Lula

It’s on the slopes of the calcareous Albo mount and has some of the best naturalistic beauties of this part of Sardinia. Rugged zones, gulches and caverns: this place is the perfect destination for all the speleology and climbing lovers. The flora is composed by junipers, arbutus, wild olives, and other species of the Mediterranean maquis, and represents a third of the entire Sardinian vegetation.

Autunno in Barbagia will let you discover some of the most important archeological sites and mines, such as Sos Enattos.

 

How to reach

The nearest tourist port is Olbia, on the North-East coast. Once you disembark from the ferry, you can reach Nuoro, the main town near Lula, driving along the state highway 131. The trip lasts one hour by car.

To visit the town during Autunno in Barbagia, you just have to take the SS131 and after 35 minutes you’ll reach the destination.
