Arbatax Monumenti aperti 2015: among churches, towers and Gennargentu

Sardinia is always a surprise, with ancient places surrounded by nature where traditions are still alive. One of these is Arbatax, on the East coast of Sardinia. And the opportunity to discover its historical attractions is the 2015 edition of Monumenti aperti (“open monuments”), on May 16-17.
Ex Batteria area, Sant’Andrea and Sant’Antonio churches, Bellavista lighthouse, S’Ortali and Su Monti archeological complexes, San Miguel tower: these are some of the monuments and things to see in Arbatax and Tortolì. The occasion to see these attractions is Monumenti aperti 2015: during this event, tourist tours by local associations will allow tourists to discover them.
During this two-days event, info points will set up on the streets of the town, where you can find all information you need to visit the open monuments. In addition to this, you can take Trenino Verde in Arbatax: it’s a tourist train that will allow you to visit the pristine nature and the different towns of Gennargentu.
